Tobago is known for its clean
refreshing beaches. The good thing about Tobago is that you can hit all the
best beaches in one day. So let’s do a beach hop starting at Sore Bay and head North
East along the island. Get your GPS ready, follow the map below and start
taking pics! Remember to post your comments about your experience and lots of
pictures!
Ø Store Bay
This is one of the most popular
beaches in Tobago. Its white sand and calm crystal blue water attracts sea
bathers all through the year. A lot of tourist also visit this beach and enjoy
sun bathing, for those who don’t want the direct rays of sun can patronize the
local vendors that rent recliners and beach umbrellas.
Store Bay is also known for its
food kiosks, bar and craft stalls.
Ø Parlatuvier
Bay
Almost every scenic picture of
Tobago is taken from the fishing village of Parlatuvier. This village is located between Man O' War and English Bay. Be sure to take your
picture and post or comment of your experience taking pictures at this
landmark.
Ø Back Bay
This is where surfers used to
catch the best waves in Tobago. A nice secluded stretch of beach nestled between Mt. Irvin and Black Rock, that you can
sit and have a calming afternoon listening to the waves beat against the sea
rocks. Even the crabs enjoy sunning at
this location.
I assure you this beach hop would
open your eyes to the many scenic sights Tobago has to offer. Next time you
visit Tobago be sure to indulge in a beach hop. Even if you don’t bathe at
every beach stop, take some photos and enjoy nature. Have you ever done a beach
hop? Which was your favourite beach? Send some pics and comment on your experiences.
I have never done beach hopping but my favourite beach is Pegion Point. I get to sit and enjoy the cool breeze of the island. The water however is amazing as its clean and mostly calm
ReplyDeleteBeach hoping sound like a lovely idea, this can be a great girls lime.
ReplyDeleteDon't forget the amazing Nylon Pool.. take the boat from Store Bay or Pigeon Point!
ReplyDeleteWe went to an awesome beach at Speyside, had to park by the jetty, walk up a hill and down about a hundred steps to get to it ! But it was great for swimming, snorkelling and fishing too. Guys sat around an open fire at the end of the day, roasting fish on a stick....sweet Tobago life.
ReplyDeleteMs Trim's in Store Bay makes a mean conch & dumpling
ReplyDeleteThis has become a family tradition for us...I started beach hopping when I worked years ago for a gov't Ministry I will not name...I love the beach and so I would complete my assignment in one of the 3dys on the island and the other two spend basking in the bliss that is Tobago!!! My mini vacation activities I shared w/ my sister on a spur of the moment trip...since then we've shared this experience with others and is a MUST when I visit. I've also found a couple local swimming spots my favorite is Arnos Vale (however I do not gain access through the hotel/bar). This is a hidden gem and not frequently visited.
