1. Doubles Road Trip!

Every Trinbagonian and visitor of the twin isle must experience the palatable pleasure of eating ah hot doubles. “Everything slight pepper! Ah eatin here”. Doubles is a chickpea (channa) sandwich served with various sauces.

It is a popular street food in Trinidad& Tobago. The best way to eat a doubles is fresh, hot and at the side of the road.

It can be wrapped for take away but would never taste the same. Below is a Map of Doubles, these vendors are known to have the best tasting doubles in Trinidad and Tobago. Have you eaten from any? Is there better doubles out there? You tell me! Eating one now? On your way to get doubles? Post a picture of you eating doubles the way trinbagonians know best.

About the Blog

Travelling and exploring different countries’ culture, food and landscape would probably be the first item on my list of hobbies. Yeah, it would take me to choose one of the most expensive hobbies ever! Recently I realized, probably because school fees replaced airline tickets, that I have neglected my own country and so have not experienced all there is to offer in Trinidad and Tobago. I informally surveyed several people of varying backgrounds to give me a list of twenty things they believe every Trinbagonian or visitor must experience in Trinidad and Tobago before they die. Just listening to these people excited me to the point where I have made serious enquires to visit some of these places that I haven’t as yet. I compiled the list and selected the places/experiences (not in any specific order) most frequently mentioned and created a ‘bucket list of twenty experiences in Trinidad and Tobago’.  Don’t just read the blogs, let me know your experiences, let’s see if any of your suggestions would make the list and share pictures. Come let’s complete this list together!
